Subject: New Oligarchy Flag!


The Co-Rulers have long felt that something must be done about the Oligarchy
flag. The format has served us well through the years, despite multiple
revisions, but the flag was simply too complicated, and parts of it are no
longer representative of our illustrious organization.

So, the three of us got together and brainstormed what we wanted in an Oligarchy
flag. And we are now ready to reveal the results. Special thanks to Co-Ruler
Jason, who did all of the actual work in creating this flag.

The flag is a horizontal tricolor, with a black stripe, representing the formless
void from which the Gods emerged; a blue stripe, representing the Earth, which
will one day be fully under our control; and a silver stripe, representing Duct
Tape. Upon the tricolor is a roll of duct tape wrapped around the planet Earth.
Around the duct tape emblem are two inscriptions. The first: "We enjoy our
delusions of grandeur. Why shouldn't you?" was adapted from one of Cronan's Words
of Wisdom. The second: "In vodka veritas" is Latin for "In vodka, there is truth."

The new flag now appears on the front page of the Holy Website. You can click on
the flag to read about its meaning and symbology, as well as a guided history of
our past flags.
