Subject: Return of the son of the revenge of the Cronan Memorial Wake!


Here we go again! We are gradually approaching the anniversary of the passing of
the late, great Cronan Thompson, co-founder of the World Oligarchy and crazy-ass
bugfuck lunatic. (He once killed a man with a 3.5" floppy, you know.)

And so I hereby declare the 5th and 6th Annual Cronan Thompson Memorial Wake,
both to be held on November 5, 2004. For those of you who are not familiar with
this tradition, this is the second-most important party we throw all year
(second only to New Year's), at which we celebrate the life of Cronan and the
times we had with him, online and offline, and share our memories with those of
you who never had the pleasure of knowing him.

I know what you're saying: Why the 5th and 6th at the same time? Well, we
weren't able to hold the Annual Wake last year, for a variety of reasons. So
this year, we're going to raise twice our recommended allowance of hell, in
order to get caught up.

The wake will begin at 8:00pm on Friday, November 5, and last until everyone
leaves (probably towards the end of the weekend). It will be held at the
Fortress of Doom (which will actually be cleaned up for the occasion!) in
Raleigh, NC, USA. All are invited, regardless of your locality; but if you're
too lazy to make a lousy cross-continental or international flight, feel free to
hold your own local celebration.
