Meaning/Description: Commonly used to describe an event in the entertainment media, such as an action movie or television show. To "explodiate" means more than an explosion; it means that an explosion occurs impossibly close to Our Heroes, but somehow they make it without a scratch.
Lineage: To the best of our knowledge, the word was coined by Head Prophet Cronan Thompson, apparently while writing a MSTing of Babylon 5's "Thirdspace." It might have been used previously on Usenet groups such as alt.religion.kibology.
